The Globe and Mail has an interesting article about Nortel (link). Now that Nortel has announced that it was going to sale all its business units (link), Close studies have been done on its IP assets.
Interestingly, an analyst of JPMorgan Chase has apparently estimated recently that Nortel's wireless patents could generate royalties of $1-billion – and possibly upwards of $3-billion – over the next 15 years.
Question: How much would you offer, if that is true, to buy the patent portfolio?
